I get an error "MSVCP71.DLL" not found when I try to start the Skype connector on my PC

This means a Microsoft C++ runtime DLL is not present on the system which Skype for Salesforce requires. Usually these are default present on every Windows system.

Please download the attached ZIP file and extract the four files to the \Windows\System32 folder.

Note: The package contains the 7.1 and the 8.0 version of the Microsoft runtime libraries.
